Terrance J. Evans Elected First Black President of California Lawyers Association
Region IX Director Terrance J. Evans was elected President of the California Lawyers Association, the largest voluntary state bar association in the United States, representing the interests of more than 260,000 California lawyers.
Terrance is the first Person of Color and the first Black person in history elected to the position and will serve a two-year term.
He was sworn in as President of CLA on September 13, 2025 by the Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court at the CLA Annual Meeting.
